TRANSPORTED Afterschool MArtial Arts Program

Serving Sunrise, Plantation, and Tamarac schools, our Transported Afterschool Program offers an affordable alternative to Daycare.  Our reliable service will pick your children up from school and transport them to our facility where they will learn discipline and respect in a safe and structured environment.  The children are taught by Master Travis who has 30-years of experience teaching & training under the legendary former Korean National Champion, Grand Master Jun Kim.

Daily Schedule

2:00 - 2:30 - Pick Up from School

Our experienced drivers bring the children safely to the Taekwondo School.

2:30 - 2:45 - Snack

During this time the children may eat a snack that has been packed for them at home.  Nonperishable chips and juice is also available for purchase upon request.

2:45 - 3:00 - Change into Uniform

Changing into one's uniform is a symbolic task as we change our mental attitude and prepare for class.  It is important that students bring their uniform every day for this purpose.  We stress that it is their job to remember their uniform and not their parents.  Bringing their full uniform everyday teaches the children the importance of responsibility.

3:00 - 4:00 - Taekwondo Class

This class focuses on instilling within the children the physical and mental philosophies of traditional Martial Arts.  The kids learn, through the discipline of self-defense training, how to show respect at home and at school.  Every student is expected to memorize the five-tenants of taekwondo: Courtesy, Modesty, Perseverance, Self-Control, & Indomitable Spirit.  Each student will, within a month, know these five words, what they mean, and how to demonstrate them at home and at school.  Taekwondo is also a great way to develop confidence and to stay healthy both physically and mentally.

4:00 - 4:30 - Structured Game Time

Not to be confused with "play time."  This time is spent on some fun activities designed to improve the children's cardio, coordination, and other skills required to excel in martial arts.  Nevertheless, it's tons of fun and the children always look forward to it!

4:30 - 6:00 - Pick Up Time

During this time the students wait in our back room for their parents or guardians to pick them up.  During this supervised period, the children may spend their time as they wish or as their parents direct them.
